| As well as participating in a number of World Gymnaestradas, Croydon School of Gymnastics has had the experience of training with coaches and gymnasts from other countries. This has includes three trips to Russia, a trip to train in Bulgaria, a visit by a group of French gymnasts and a period of coaching by a Turkish National Coach, Munise Tuna. | |

The Bulgaria Experience - 1987 |

| In 1987 Jackie Lewis took a group of 9 boys for a training session they would never forget. Through the "Schools Abroad Scheme," they flew to Bulgaria for a week's training with the Ladywell Boys' Gym Club in Plovdiv. |

The French Connection - 1998 |
One of the boys training at Croydon had a French au pair who, as it turned out, had a gymnastic background herself. Having returned to coach at her old club, she began to organise a trip for her gymnasts to train with us in Croydon. The experience was enjoyed by all, French and English alike and a return visit is planned for the future. |

Turkish Delight |
| In 1997 a Turkish National Coach, Munise Tuna spent some time coaching for us at the club. She worked wonders with our gymnasts, especially our squad girls and is greatly missed by all, but still keeps in contact. However, she has agreed that when we find funding and permanent premisses, she will come and take up a permanent coaching position. |
